Welcome to Grace & Paradise Orphanage Foundation

The year 2006 recorded celebration of an estimated 128.9 million births around the world. A record with an average of 345,015 births per day, 14,709 births each hour, 245 births each minute, and 4 births every second. Yet in the last 3 years, an estimate of 106 million children under age 15 lost one or both parents. A projected estimate of another 186 million children of same age group, during the next 3 years, will lose either or both parents. This is due to early marriage and high death rate which is common in adult population.

Orphans suffer from higher death rate than other children do. They often live outside of standard households, placed in a foster family, placed as servants or apprentices at an earlier age than is common. In addition to emotional and psychological trauma, the impact on their living conditions is worst. For these children, the challenge to not only survive, but live successful lives, can be a daunting one.

Fortunately, there is Grace & Paradise Orphange Foundation established to improve these children's living conditions and to make it easier for them to become integrated into society. The foundation has a God-given mandate to reach orphans particularly in Nigeria and West Africa at large, solving their life’s problems by way of providing them with free accommodation, free feeding, vocational training and scholarships using your financial support.

Already, G & P is offering nutritious meals, accommodation, and educational assistance to children living in orphanages in Cross River State, Akwa Ibom State, Rivers State, Delta State, Abia State and Abuja, the federal capital territory of Nigeria – children who would otherwise spend their days rummaging through trash heaps looking for things to eat or sell.

G & P is also planning to build a state-of-the-art orphanage facility estimated at the cost of two billion five hundred million naira (N2,500,000,000 or US$16,666,666) at Kuje area council of Abuja. This facility will comprise of 4 different communities to serve children in pre-nursery and nursery section, primary school section, secondary school section as well as provide a vocational training centre. Each of the 3 communities will house hostels, class rooms, and administrative block.
